Ad Description: I enjoyed having my lifelong dream car , but now must sell it and move on. The car is a 1951 Ford Custom Deluxe Club Coupe.
It has a flathead V8 engine with Fenton headers, Brockman glasspack mufflers, Edmonds intake manifold with dual Ford 94 carbs, Edmonds aluminum finned heads, electric fuel pump, Pertronix electronic ignition, and lots of chrome dress up items. It has a three speed column shift transmission.
The flawless body has been repainted Maple Maroon and all the chrome has been replated. The car has been lowered 4 inches in the rear and 3 inches in the front. Dummy lake pipes and ribbed fender skirts add to the long low appearance of the car. The front suspension has been detailed and completely brought up to factory specifications. The steering is precise, smooth and effortless. The rear springs are new.
It has new Mitchlin WSW tires and the original wheels are covered with the correct 1951 Ford dog dish "F" hubcaps and 1953 Ford full beauty rings.
The interior was entirely redone with new carpet, seat upholstery, door panels, headliner, package tray, kick panels, sun visors, hanger straps, and door scuff plates. It was executed in maroon naugahyde and grey pleated fabric. It even has a genuine Ford tissue dispenser.
This car has 67K original miles, and the history of it is amazing, form the original owner and her nephew to my acquisition of it in April 2006. The car is absolutely rust free with all original glass. Everything, all lights (including courtesy lights), turn signals, push button radio, deluxe fresh air heater, wind-up clock, all instruments, wipers, headlight dimmer, window rollers and the seat adjustor, works as if new.
This is one of the finest original 1951 Ford coupes you will ever see. It runs great, rides great, sounds great, and looks great. It is museum quality car. I know I will forever regret selling this car but I have only so much garage space. Contact Jack at jack_redman@hotmail.com or ph 714 963 6509.
